Kirman launched an artificial intelligence-powered interface this spring to make it easier to sell properties by matching buyers with homes listed for sale. The AI will eventually be used by its entire team.
Kirman is also a cast member of “Listing Impossible” on CNBC.
What has 2021 been for you so far?
Sales have been excellent. We’re already hitting around $ 700 million, which is huge. … The market is on fire but is softening a bit. It’s still very, very, very strong. Inventories are very low and there are more buyers than sellers in many price points.
What features are buyers looking for?
Covid has changed our market. People are still looking for prime locations in Beverly Hills and Bel Air, but people now want big lots, people want more privacy, people tend to gravitate towards bigger homes again because they live and work from home. The suburbs are hot and the other states are hot.
You’ve launched a new AI-powered interface to make it easier to sell properties. How did that happen ?
It’s incredible. We are still working on it, expanding it and continuing to build it. It’s a very fun project. What we do is really important and has been incredibly helpful in selling properties. Thanks to AI, we were able to target and score. It was a game changer for us.
You lead a team of around 125 people. How does it feel to work with such a large group?
I love it. I’ve been selling real estate since I was 17, and the real estate industry can be a bit lonely if you’re independent and alone, and I like having a team. As a team, we kill him. We do a lot of big sales. … The collaboration and the spirit are great. … I work with some of the greats in the industry.
What sets you apart from other agents?
I have such a large team, so I get the intelligence of 125 people, and I think our AI division is world class and second to none. … It gives us information that other officers just don’t have. Many agents do a lot of the same things packaged differently. My mission was to do something different and to stand out from the crowd. … We took a different approach by bringing our inventory to buyers through our team of 125 people, and through AI and the sheer volume of sales we’re doing, we’re close to, we’ll be at $ 1 billion This year .
You are on CNBC’s “Listing Impossible”. Does this help you as an agent?
Most of the TV broker celebrities you see were brought up on TV, so their businesses were surrounded by TV. I already had an established business and started doing TV later in the game. It was helpful in some ways, but in other ways the time and energy is huge. … We do a lot of different things in our team, we have Kirman Capital and Kirman Development… and the show helps with those things.
What is the rest of the year like?
I think it’s gonna be good. The market is strong, and it will remain so, but it will stabilize but remain strong. We are on a very big growth model by expanding our team and our presence in luxury and using some of the new innovative things that we have created.
