Restaurant inspections lead to Dickey’s closing in Fort Worth

A Fort Worth restaurant was closed due to serious health code violations found during Fort Worth inspections conducted from Jan. 16 to Jan. 29, according to data collected by the city and compiled by the Star-Telegram.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, which has a mailing address at 13100 US 278 in Haslet but is within the Fort Worth city limits, was closed Jan. 25 after an inspector found violations that included rusting floor joints at the walk-in cooler, no hand soap at a sink for washing hands, an inadequate water supply at several sinks and a microwave that did not meet National Sanitation Foundation standards, according to the data from the city.

According to the restaurant’s Google listing, Dickey’s location is currently temporarily closed. No one answered a Star-Telegram call to the restaurant to see if it had reopened yet.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within Fort Worth city limits from January 16-29, 2022. Scores are based on a demerit system. When the total exceeds 30, the restaurant must take immediate corrective action on all identified critical violations and then has 48 hours to initiate corrective action on all other violations.
