Septentrio and CompoTEK announce a collaboration

CompoTEK will distribute Septentrio’s Mosaic™ multi-frequency GPS/GNSS modules, which offer high-accuracy RTK positioning in a compact form factor. Septentrio and CompoTEK will both be present at Embedded World this year, showcasing the GNSS mosaic™ module.

Leuven, Belgium – June 13, 2022 – Septentrio strengthens its presence in the market for high-precision GNSS* modules by signing a distribution partnership with CompoTEK for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. With over a decade of experience as a distributor of modules and semiconductors, CompoTEK supports its customers during the purchasing and sourcing process, works closely with them during the design phase and also offers long-term product support.

“We are excited about our new partnership with CompoTEK, a company that has long term experience and knowledge of the high precision positioning technology and market. We are expanding our existing sales and application engineering channels, aiming for full coverage of the US, Europe, Asia and beyond, as well as effective local support,” said commented Jan Reisen, Sales Director at Septentrio.

The mosaic™ high-precision RTK module uses all available constellations and GNSS signals for maximum positioning availability, even in harsh environments. Its small form factor and low power consumption make it ideal for high volume applications and assembly lines. Built-in AIM+ Advanced Interference Mitigation technology ensures resilience to GNSS jamming and spoofing**, making Mosaic™ a reliable positioning component in any robot, drone or machine control system. Septentrio will be exhibiting mosaic™ and other high precision GPS/GNSS and INS products at the Global Embedded Show in Nüremberg, Germany, June 21-23 in Hall 5, Booth 162 near the CompoTEK booth. * Global Navigation Satellite System including US GPS, European Galileo, Russian GLONASS, Chinese BeiDou, Japanese QZSS and Indian NavIC. These constellations of satellites broadcast positioning information to receivers which use it to calculate their absolute position.

** Jamming is a form of radio interference that occurs when the GPS frequency is exceeded by other radio waves, resulting in degraded accuracy or complete loss of position. Spoofing is a malicious form of radio interference, where deceptive signals are sent into the receiver, resulting in erroneous coordinates, which lead the target away from its predefined path.
