CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Polce made a traffic stop early this morning that discovered stolen goods during unlocked vehicle break-ins in Clarksville and Nashville.
Police had been called in for a vehicle break-in in the 300 block of Ringgold Road, according to a press release from police spokesman Scott Beaubien. They got a description of a white SUV driven by a woman wearing a hoodie.
At approximately 5:14 a.m., officers spotted and stopped a white Lincoln Navigator driven by a woman wearing a hoodie on Fort Campbell Boulevard. The driver, a 39-year-old female from Murfreesboro, and his passenger, a 41-year-old man from Nashville, were the occupants.
Inside the SUV, police found items stolen from unlocked vehicle break-ins in 1500 block of Nolen Road, 830 block of Peachers Mill Road, 300 block of Ringgold Road, Verkler / Parkway Place and the 500 block from Tiny Town Road.
“There is still a lot of property being sorted and detectives are trying to determine where it came from,” Beaubien said.
“All of these vehicles that have been entered have been unlocked,” Chief David Crockarell said in the statement. “We ask the public to please lock your vehicles. It was only last week that over 20 unlocked vehicles were entered and items stolen, and now we have many more vehicle break-ins, several from last night and this morning, including another gun. found in the suspect’s vehicle.
“I am very proud of the work my officers and detectives do, but we need the citizens’ help. If you just wanted to lock your doors, “Park Smart”, then it is more than likely that you will not be the victim of a vehicle burglary. “
